our philosophy
We practice a model of production permaculture that focuses on diversity and localizing our resources. We recognize that everything is connected and use elements of our landscape to feed and care for other elements, whether it is windbreaks and weed seed barriers on our windward and leeward borders or nitrogen fixing and bioaccumulating plantings throughout our gardens and orchards. We manage our entire land organically and nurture the soil as the foundation for all life.
In growing food for our community in a way that is in right relationship with the earth, that offers nourishing food, clean water, and clean air we reconnect our visitors with their own true nature and support them in seeing the commonalities that exist between them and others in our community.
